Abstract Aluminium matrix composites (AMCs) have evolved itself in recent times as a source material for automotive applications, spacecraft electronics applications and sports accessories applications. The reason these numerous is their alterable mechanical properties such good strength-weight ratio, better stiffness, excellent resistance to wear, precise co-efficient of thermal expansion, improved fatigue, immutability at elevated temperature conditions. All are fully dependent on processing/manufacturing methods processing In comparison other composite development techniques, Stir casting an adequate method well it greatly acceptable industries. Such wide acceptability stir process by the virtue its adaptability, cost benefits superiority mass production. Therefore, this review paper compiles details AMC manufacturing methods.
